Behind the Stomp

Meet the crew

Joy, laughter, and a love for line dancing pretty much sum me up.

I’m the founder and an instructor here at Western Stomp Co., and I created it because I wanted a space where dancing is about fun, not perfection. Around here, we laugh at missed steps, cheer each other on, and enjoy moving to the music together.

It doesn’t matter your age or experience — anyone can jump in, pick it up, and be part of the fun. For me, line dancing is pure joy — and the best part is building a community where we get to share that joy together.

Hi, I’m Lyndsay!

Karri grew up with a love for dancing and horses, always dreaming of a life where she could be a “dancing cowgirl”.

Line dancing made that dream real.

Now a line dance instructor, Karri runs events and hosts classes in Tweed, bringing people together through movement, music, and connection. Guided by the belief that “dance is for everyone”, she loves creating spaces that are inclusive, welcoming, and full of fun. For Karri, it’s not just about dancing — it’s about community, confidence, and making everyone feel like they belong.

It’s Karri!

Amber may not come from a dance background, but her love for line dancing is impossible to miss, it’s what pulls her up on stage at every class & event. She’s always smiling, laughing, and reminding everyone that it’s not about being perfect, it’s about enjoying the moment. Her joy is contagious, her energy is uplifting, and she has a way of making everyone feel instantly at ease. It’s no wonder she’s so adored.

Kirsten is so good at line dancing she can do it with her eyes closed (seriously, proof is in the photo). Famous for her bad dad jokes and for calling Lyndsay out when she mixes up her lefts and rights, she’s always adding laughs and spark to the floor. She’s not an instructor (yet 😉 ), but she’s definitely a Western Stomp favourite.
